Habitat for Humanity Moose Jaw is dedicated to eliminating sub-standard housing by building homes in partnership with the community, for working families in need. Habitat for Humanity is an independent, charitable, faith-based organization. We build simple, decent and affordable houses and provide interest-free mortgages to families who would not otherwise be able to purchase their own home. The Saskatchewan Housing Corporation

Sask Housing wowed everyone with their million dollar announcement in March of '09! $50,000 per house will be given to Habitat affiliates around the province for the next 20 houses being built. Thank you Sask Housing, for taking steps to break the cycle of poverty for more Saskatchewan families. Saskatchewan has Habitat affiliates in Regina, Saskatoon, Prince Albert, Llyodminster, and chapters in Yorkton and Moose Jaw.

2011 was a very eventful and successful year for Habitat for Humanity Moose Jaw. We completed our first-ever home build at 908 Stadacona Street East and also made significant progress on our second home right across the street. In doing so, we have partnered with two (and soon to be three) very deserving and hard-working local families. But it’s important to note that none of it would have been possible without hundreds of others who have stepped up and donated their time, money and supplies to build homes with and for our organization.

Home Energy Legacy Program Applications Due January 24th!

Habitat for Humanity is proud to partner with SaskEnergy to offer the Home Energy Legacy Program - where selected homeowners with an annual combined income under $52,000 have an opportunity to save money and help the environment with up to $10,000 in energy efficiency home improvements in Spring 2012.
